Product Description
A zero VOC coating with excellent elongation properties providing hail and impact resistance.
HSS 535 Solvent-Free Silicone Roof Coating is a one-component, moisture-curing silicone rubber roof coating system designed for use on existing smooth BUR, granulated cap sheet, well-adhered acrylic coating, concrete, metal, sprayed-in-place polyurethane foam and various membrane roofing. The coating is rolled or spray-applied and touch-up work can be done with a brush or roller. The system provides long-term protection because it resists weathering, aging, oxidation, wind-driven sand, rain and snow, the effects of ozone, ultraviolet radiation and the temperature extremes typically found on roofs. This product may contribute towards a variety of LEED credit points. Traditional elastomeric/acrylic roof coatings are water-based and cure when water evaporates. When ponding water is present on roof surfaces for a period of 48 hours or more, acrylic roof coatings can begin to re-emulsify to their liquid state and lose adhesion. In contrast, silicone coatings cure and cross-link by reaction with moisture in the air. Silicone cannot re-emulsify due to exposure to standing water. WDG HSS 535 is a non-water-based, high- solids silicone roof coating. As such, when ponding water is present, it's adhesion to the roof substrate is not affected.
WDG HSS 535 high-solids white silicone meets the reflectivity, environmental and "cool roof" requirements for the organizations listed below. Superior UV resistance, adhesion and reflectivity make WDG HSS 535 high-solids silicone roof coatings the smart choice over elastomeric/acrylic roof coatings.
