About the Brand
IKO believes that great roofing products are about more than just keeping wind and water out of a home. They are about keeping families and their belongings, safe. That’s why we offer products that not only put homeowners’ minds at ease, but help contractors be more successful.
A family-owned roofing company that has been creating beautiful, high-quality, high-performing roofing products for 70 years, IKO is continually evolving and engineering new products to meet the demands of the modern roofing industry and constantly changing weather.
PRODUCTS IKO MANUFACTURES
IKO manufactures and engineers a wide variety of residential roofing products. Its Nordic™ and Dynasty® performance shingles are designed to offer peace of mind and protection from inclement weather. They both feature ArmourZone technology, a wide nailing zone that is reinforced with a tear-resistant woven band. Nails applied in this area are optimally positioned to help resist nail pull-through and shingle blow-off, even in high winds.
IKO coats the durable fiberglass mat on its Nordic line with a polymer-modified asphalt. This powerful combo enables IKO Nordic shingles to act as shock absorbers, to help cushion the impact of hail and earn a Class 4 impact resistance rating.* Pair this along with the high-def colors and the ArmourZone, and you can understand why they say that Nordic is “quite possibly the best laminate asphalt shingle money can buy.”
IKO also manufacturers several other architectural and designer-class shingles, as well as a suite of PROFORMAX™ roofing accessories for maximum protection. These accessories include Stormtite® synthetic underlayment, StormShield® and GoldShield™ ice and water protectors, and roof starters, such as EdgeSeal® and Leading Edge Plus™.
*This rating is not to be construed as a warranty or guarantee of performance against hail, but it may allow the homeowner to qualify for discounted homeowners insurance premiums, where available.
